The entertainment value of the Ampe game cannot be under-estimated. As much as it can be played at any season of the year, the Ampe game is also featured as intermission at events. It is a favourite sport of the youth, nominated for Olympics accreditation.

THIS FEB-17 2024

The Cultural Games Association-UK launched in London this Feb-17 with so much to write home about. The Chairman of the Association, Mr. Vincent John expressed so much delight with the organising committee and the eminent guests present at the event. There were games presentations, speakers and Cultural games supportersf from Ghana, online to participate.

CULTURAL GAMES IN LONDON, 2024

Visiting contingent from Ghana to attend the inaugural event were ddenied visiting visas by the British Embassy in Ghana. This dissappointment was expressed by all the speakers on the day as Cultural games from Africa has been nominated Olympic worthy throughout the participators from Africa. Ghana, being a member of the Commonwealth, a major economic partner of the United Kingdom, it is still a msytery to Ghanaians and other participating African countries why visiting visas were denied at all.

THE CHASKELE CUTURAL GAMES

THE OLD IS NEW, IN GLOBAL GAMING

Chaskele game is one of the very old traditional games to Ghana, long before the colonial era. It was mainly a community sport that binds the neighbouring villages. The young are made to challenge and express physical agility and improve mental prowess. Now in these modern times, the Chaskele game is now revived, re-branded to meet up to Olympics accreditation. This is one of the cames most favoured by this (2024) tour of the United Kingdom. The launching will include exhibition matches to thrill invited guests home and from outside the UK. You are all welcome on February 17 2024 at the Frederick Bremar School, Walthamstow, London, E17 4EY ::: SHOW STARTS 3:00pm till 9:00pm.

THE KATAPULT GAME

KEEPING FAITH, IN GAMING CULTURE

The Katapult game is a unique cultural game across Africa as it reference to earlier civilisation in Africa. The playing tool is a testament to mechanisation by earlier generations. The game is still played in Africa by the young and old. The Katapult is (still) also used for basic hunting of animals that are fast on their feet including birds. Skilled hunters use the katapult with stones of various sizes to hunt different animals As a modernised gameplay for tournaments, the game is now being re-introduced to the sporting lineup.
